Rain-related deaths in the southern Greater Rio have already reached 39.

Rio Grande do Sul has reported 39 deaths as a result of rainfall hitting the state since the beginning of the week. According to Civil Defense, 68 people have disappeared. More than 8,000 people have been evacuated by integrated security forces and 24,000 have been displaced.
