A cyberattack on the IT infrastructure of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) was uncovered several weeks ago. As the BMI announced on Saturday, irregularities were detected in one of the BMI's office IT systems. However, this was the result of a targeted and professional attack. Specifically, unauthorized access to the BMI's mail servers occurred. Currently, external email traffic is restricted as a result of the security measures taken.
