China’s third aircraft carrier Fujian tests power, navigation in maiden sea trial

China has launched its most advanced and first homemade aircraft carrier, the Fujian, on its maiden sea trial, as reported by state media.
The Fujian was unmoored from Jiangnan shipyard in Shanghai at about 8am, according to a brief report from state news agency Xinhua.
Equipped with electromagnetic catapults, the Fujian is China's first aircraft carrier designed domestically and is undergoing sea trials to test propulsion and electrical systems.
