Boeing grants Alaska Airlines $61 million in compensation

The credit notes can be used to make future purchases at Boeing, Alaska Airlines said Friday in its quarterly report. The $61 million credit will not fully cover half of the $128.9 million worth of a single 737 MAX 9. Alaska voluntarily immobilized its 65 MAX 9 after the incident, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) subsequently immobilized the remainder of the MAX 9 in service with other air carriers.
