CHINA, JUL 30 – U.S. officials warned China that buying sanctioned Russian oil risks tariffs up to 100% to cut Russia's energy revenue amid the Ukraine war, with China as the largest buyer.
- During two days of US-China trade talks in Stockholm on July 28, 2025, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned Beijing could face a 100% tariff if it continues buying Russian oil.
