Natural gas used in homes may contain hazardous air pollutants: study

Summary by Ground News
Recent studies have shown that natural gas is leaking at far higher rates than expected. A study released in October found six times more methane leaking into the air around the Boston area than the state’s most recent estimate from three years ago. While the concentrations are low, the chemicals are potentially dangerous and some are linked to cancer risk. The study adds to a growing body of research that links the delivery and use of natural gas to detrimental consequences for public health and the climate.
